Abstract: The article discusses the technological innovations like virtual clinical simulation (VCS) that could be used in nurse practitioner (NP) education to help prepare NPs to become autonomous leaders in healthcare. Also cited are the study made at Queensland University to assess the effectiveness and impact of VCS on skill development and learning experiences of nursing students and the use of simulations in areas like diagnostic testing and physical assessments.
