Cranial ultrasound is an increasingly accurate means to detect cranial morphology and intracranial pathology in neonates. It spares the patient from radiation and does not require sedation, and its bedside portability allows for bedside evaluation in gravely ill infants who cannot be transported to radiology for imaging. This presentation focuses on the basics of cranial ultrasound techniques, greyscale imaging interpretation, protocols for premature neonates and recognizing various basic cranial pathologies in newborns.L6165329742017-06-06 <br />en
