Abstract: Traumatic thumb amputations can result in significant functional disability. In some circumstances, replantation may not always be possible. We present a case of osteocutaneous superficial circumflex iliac artery perforator free flap reconstruction of a thumb in a 77-year-old woman who had a traumatic degloving injury through the interphalangeal joint. Given its versatility, we have observed the osteocutaneous superficial circumflex iliac artery perforator flap to provide a robust reconstructive option which should be considered in certain cases of thumb reconstruction.
