Abstract: The intravascular lithotripsy (IVL) catheter balloon is designed to improve the success rate of intervention for coronary artery calcifications (CAC). IVL is highly attractive option for a regional centre such as Mackay without on-site cardiothoracic surgical service for its superior safety data.
