Treatment is challenging given lack of firm guidelines and limited access to conventional modalities used in endemic countries. Topical paromomycin or oral fluconazole were effective outpatient-based first-line treatments, however, topical paromomycin use was limited by expense to import or compound locally.L20174791222022-04-08 | DOI: | 10.1097/INF.0000000000003445 | Resources: | https://www.embase.com/search/results?subaction=viewrecord&id=L2017479122&from=exporthttp://dx.doi.org/10.1097/INF.0000000000003445 | | Keywords: | Leishmania;male;medical history;preschool child;school child;skin defect;skin scar;treatment duration;treatment response;skin biopsy;bacterial DNAfluconazole;paromomycin;adolescent;amastigote;article;Australia;bacterium detection;case report;child;clinical article;cream;cutaneous leishmaniasis;epithelization;follow up;healing;histiocyte;histopathology;human;human tissue | Type: | Article |
