Issue Date: | 2017 | Source: | 25, (4), 2017, p. 300-303 | Pages: | 300-303 | Journal: | Asian Cardiovascular and Thoracic Annals | Abstract: | Hepatoblastoma is very uncommon in children, and intracardiac extension is rare. The SIOPEL-4 regime for metastatic hepatoblastoma has extended the surgical options with good results. We successfully treated a boy aged 2 years and 9 months with hepatoblastoma, using a multidisciplinary surgical strategy involving an extended left hepatectomy, left adrenalectomy, biopsy of the paraaortic and coeliac lymph nodes, and resection of the inferior vena caval-right atrial extension of the hepatoblastoma, under cardiopulmonary bypass and deep hypothermia.L6163316422017-05-26 | DOI: | 10.1177/0218492317705565 | Resources: | https://www.embase.com/search/results?subaction=viewrecord&id=L616331642&from=exporthttp://dx.doi.org/10.1177/0218492317705565 | | Keywords: | inferior cava vein;intracardiac extension;lethargy;liver biopsy;hepatectomy;lung embolism;lung metastasis;lymph node;male;nuclear magnetic resonance imaging;preschool child;sternotomy;two dimensional echocardiography;multiple cycle treatment;alpha fetoproteinchorionic gonadotropin;cisplatin;doxorubicin;adrenalectomy;alpha fetoprotein blood level;appetite disorder;article;cardiopulmonary bypass;cardiovascular system cancer;case report;child;computer assisted tomography;deep hypothermic circulatory arrest;heparinization;hepatoblastoma;human;human tissue | Type: | Article |
