Title: | Snoring in children | Authors: | Waters, K. A. Chawla, J. |
Issue Date: | 2015 | Source: | 51, (9), 2015, p. 847-851 | Pages: | 847-851 | Journal: | Journal of Paediatrics and Child Health | Abstract: | Chronic snoring (≥4 nights per week) is not benign. Otherwise healthy children with chronic snoring and evidence of adenotonsillar hypertrophy can be referred directly for adenotonsillectomy. Snoring children <30 months or with significant medical comorbidities should be referred for specialist sleep evaluation. Older children with intermittent snoring or without significant medical comorbidities can be managed with a combination of medical and surgical interventions listed herein.L6058886712015-09-09 | DOI: | 10.1111/jpc.12976 | Resources: | https://www.embase.com/search/results?subaction=viewrecord&id=L605888671&from=exporthttp://dx.doi.org/10.1111/jpc.12976 | | Keywords: | childhood obesity;clinical evaluation;comorbidity;controlled clinical trial (topic);corticosteroid therapy;human;peroperative complication;positive end expiratory pressure ventilation;priority journal;placebo;risk factor;screening test;sleep disordered breathing;snoring;body weight control;corticosteroid derivativemontelukast;psychological aspect;adenotonsillectomy;article;child | Type: | Article |
