Results from three cohorts were compared: 2008 to 2014: premerge, 2014 to 2017: initial time period postmerge, and 2018 to 2019: established merge. Survival to hospital discharge (and with good neurological outcome) was of 68% (61%), 46% (36%), and 79% (71%), respectively, for the three time periods. Merging two hospitals resulted in a nonsignificant trend toward temporary worse outcomes in pediatric patients requiring ECPR.L6330356572020-10-12 | DOI: | 10.1055/s-0040-1715853 | Resources: | https://www.embase.com/search/results?subaction=viewrecord&id=L633035657&from=exporthttp://dx.doi.org/10.1055/s-0040-1715853 | | Keywords: | major clinical study;male;Marfan syndrome;metabolic disorder;multiple organ failure;myocarditis;neurological complication;neutropenia;outcome assessment;pediatric intensive care unit;pediatric patient;pulmonary hypertension;respiratory failure;resuscitation;retrospective study;septic neutropenia;septic shock;survival;treatment contraindication;treatment duration;vascular disease;anaphylaxisarticle;brain death;cancer chemotherapy;cardiomyopathy;child;cohort analysis;congenital diaphragm hernia;congenital heart malformation;controlled study;decannulation;extracorporeal oxygenation;female;gastrointestinal disease;heart arrest;heart arrhythmia;heart injury;hospital admission;hospital discharge;human;interhospital cooperation;lung embolism | Type: | Article |
