Issue Date: | 2022 | Source: | 83 , 2022 | Journal: | ighted imaging|Journal of Pediatric Surgery Case Reports | Abstract: | Lipomas are a common benign tumor, typically presenting after the 4th decade of life, however their presence is rare in children. Here we present a case of a 4-year-old male who was referred for surgical consultation due the presence of a slowly growing mass in his right lower limb. USS and MRI then uncovered the presence of a congenital intramuscular lipoma that had completely displaced the medial and lateral heads of the gastrocnemius muscle in the leg.L20183514872022-05-30 | DOI: | 10.1016/j.epsc.2022.102320 | Resources: | https://www.embase.com/search/results?subaction=viewrecord&id=L2018351487&from=exporthttp://dx.doi.org/10.1016/j.epsc.2022.102320 | | Keywords: | lipoma;lower limb;male;nuclear magnetic resonance imaging;pain;preschool child;histology;gastrocnemius muscle;congenital intramuscular lipoma;human;human tissue;case report;anatomyarticle;clinical article;child | Type: | Article |
