Abstract: The article reports on research conducted to investigate whether Australian residential early parenting programs aimed at making parenting a better experience are effective and to investigate factors that make them effective. Researchers evaluated a residential parenting program aimed at families referred from child protection authorities. They found that nurses made the program work but concluded that more research on the long term benefits of the program was needed.brief item; pictorial.
