Title: | Totally Endovascular Management of Popliteal Artery Occlusion and Pseudoaneurysm Formation after Total Knee Replacement | Authors: | Sandstrom, A. Reynolds, A. Jha, P. K. |

We present a case of a 72-year-old man with popliteal artery thrombosis and a pseudoaneurysm presenting immediately after TKA. First-line management of acute limb ischemia is currently transitioning from open surgery to endovascular strategies such as catheter-directed thrombolysis or mechanical thrombectomy. Due to the rarity of acute limb ischemia and pseudoaneurysms after TKA, endovascular management is only reported in a few case studies. This case is distinctive by having both popliteal artery thrombosis and a pseudoaneurysm which were successfully managed entirely endovascular using AngioJet thrombolysis and a flexible covered stent. This case contributes to the evidence supporting endovascular management of this rare complication of TKA.L613263433 | DOI: | 10.1016/j.avsg.2016.05.100 | Resources: | http://www.embase.com/search/results?subaction=viewrecord&from=export&id=L613263433http://dx.doi.org/10.1016/j.avsg.2016.05.100 http://linksource.ebsco.com/ls.b6e6cc08-c492-42af-aec4-c6084e18e68c.true/linking.aspx?sid=EMBASE&issn=16155947&id=doi:10.1016%2Fj.avsg.2016.05.100&atitle=Totally+Endovascular+Management+of+Popliteal+Artery+Occlusion+and+Pseudoaneurysm+Formation+after+Total+Knee+Replacement&stitle=Ann.+Vasc.+Surg.&title=Annals+of+Vascular+Surgery&volume=38&issue=&spage=316.e13&epage=316.e16&aulast=Reynolds&aufirst=Anthony&auinit=A.&aufull=Reynolds+A.&coden=AVSUE&isbn=&pages=316.e13-316.e16&date=2017&auinit1=A&auinitm= |
