Such cases underscore the urgent need for multidisciplinary care frameworks that incorporate Indigenous perspectives, recognise historical trauma, and integrate diverse expertise. Drawing on insights from cultural workers, medicine, social work and speech therapy, this presentation showcases a holistic approach that addresses physical, mental, and cultural dimensions of health. Through collaborative interventions encompassing medical treatment, therapeutic support, cultural healing practices, and community engagement, we aim to foster resilience and empower Indigenous youth on their journey towards healing and holistic wellbeing. This presentation offers actionable strategies and highlights the transformative potential of multidisciplinary care in enhancing health outcomes for Indigenous adolescents facing complex challenges. | DOI: | 10.1177/00048674251327789 | Resources: | https://www.embase.com/search/results?subaction=viewrecord&id=L650019542&from=export http://dx.doi.org/10.1177/00048674251327789 |
